My point of residence here in London affords me easy access to four handy stations. That’s Victoria, Pimlico, St Jame’s Park and Westminster. So handy, right? Due partially to this, I do find myself often venturing further afield then sampling some of the local cuisine […]
I had been to Dim T, once before, and it’s an alright pan-Asian fusion chain. Nothing spectacular, but nothing disappointing. I spied an excellent start of week offer on the Dim T website and promptly headed to the Victoria store for my lunch visit. It […]
An antipodean affair for an antipodean group. Something about New Zealand/ Australian-style brunches really does it for me. The visual feast, the over the top vibe, the (usual) industrial chic of the venues. Oh yeah, and the amazing coffee. Timmy Green in Victoria is all of […]
Time for another cheeky Nando’s. And this time I hit up the one nearest my house. It’s located next to the grocers making for a two-birds-one-stone special. Shock horror, this time I didn’t get Peri-Peri chips. Instead I went for a protein-heavy combo of a […]
I’m a coffee geek. But not so populous in the friends department here, yet. Cough. Probably not with that attitude anyway. I took a stroll to Argos (as you do on a Sunday morning) and ended up at Coffee Geek & Friends whose interior was almost reminiscent of one of my Melbourne haunts. Good times. The flat white was fair, oddly served in a mug but hey, all the more to enjoy. Decent brew and aromas.
I also had a BLT sandwich, can’t quite remember the price but felt like it was on the high side. But you get some bonus chips. It’s a very British thing, having
chips (I mean crisps) but the extra saltiness is always appreciated. I enjoyed the sourdough, a nice crust, and the fillings were all fresh. Not the most exciting bacon though – a crisp variant or a freshly grilled ,eat slice would have made it more special. I enjoyed the ambiance and it was a comfy spot to chill, before I had to get up to grab my shopping. Service was spot on, a good spot for a morning.
