My point of residence here in London affords me easy access to four handy stations. That’s Victoria, Pimlico, St Jame’s Park and Westminster. So handy, right? Due partially to this, I do find myself often venturing further afield then sampling some of the local cuisine […]
They aren’t kidding when they call it King Slice, you’ll be royally stuffed after a single serve. On Bloor Street West you’ll come across a busy pizza outlet with delightfully cheesy aromas wafting through the air. We popped in to share one of their massive slices, […]
Anthony and I hopped along to the Spotlight Centre to check out the latest addition to its revamped food court, a modern, funky Italian joint called San Giusto. It replaced a former healthy eating/ salad place that naturally had zero interest of Sam. The heady aromas and enticing visuals were excellent signs this venture would be more appeasing.
I, already haven been through one lunch, went for a sensible smallish option in the panino with pancetta, fried egg and asiago cheese. It came freshly warmed and toasted from the spinny machine and was a moreish blend with the cheese perfectly smooth and even the egg having a delightfully crisp edge. Could have had a tinge more meat but was an all around good bite and good start for these guys.
As well as the cafe items San Giusto does the staples of pasta and pizza and these also looked fantastic indeed. I would have been keen to get if I didn’t already expend all my afternoon calorie intake. My counterpart did go with the classic Margherita slice and kept his feedback to a minimum but was in agreement with the score. A great addition to the food court here and helping up the ante too.
