On a cold autumn night, my friend Laura and I caught up over some great Asian cuisine. If there’s one thing in the world we can’t agree on, its the type of food we’re going to order. Thankfully, Okra in Hawthorn offers a diverse menu that highlights the beloved tastes of Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The restaurant is mere minutes away from the Rivoli Cinemas, making it a fabulous spot to dine before or after a film. Our favourite part was the starters here, and a few little tweaks would have made the mains stand out that bit more. There’s plenty of choices to enjoy at Okra and they come jam-packed with flavour, served with the warm hospitality you’d expect.
