No Oms and ahs, it’s been a hectic week and that calls for some food delivery! I’ve recently moved houses and have yet to get some appliances so that means eating out (for better or worse) for the next little while. It also meant my […]
Feeling greedy? Well at Greedy Cat Top Kitchen you can get quite a fill for less than $10. For probably the cheapest lunch around these parts you can get a sizeable donburi, although a decent chunk of that ends up being rice. Some weird (maybe […]
Unless you’re super familiar with South Korean food culture, you may not have heard of celebrity chef Baek Jong-won. He’s a juggernaut in the scene with 26 restaurant franchises and 1,299 branches across Korea. Here in little Melbourne, Paik’s BBQ is his first for the Korean BBQ line. My friend Nick and I head in for a taste of some best in class Korean BBQ dining. Warm hospitality and warm hotplates to match!
My first and second apartments were both in South Yarra. But in that time I had never made it to Leonard’s House of Love. I definitely heard the noise, and saw the back part of the kitchen. This made me think the place was at […]
It’s been such a treat being near a Glick’s for once in my Melbourne life. I must confess I haven’t worked my way through that many of their offerings. I just love having their bagels and never venture to anything else. And it’s close to […]
New to Melbourne last year was ramen giant Ippudo and I for one think it’s high time for some more ramen competition in this city. The initial crazy queues for the place might have dissipated but it’s a pretty tasty experience that ranks there with Hakata Gensuke and Shujinko. Of the three it seems to have least wait too. And that’s because it is a massive restaurant which may also be one of its undoings.
The scents of the office have evolved over the last week and one of the reasons for this is the re-opening of Alleyway Kitchen in the 670 Chapel Street complex. Delicious Chinese dishes including the naughty kind with my personal favourite of the honey chicken. […]
One of the fun schemes at work is we have “house” challenges. The house with the most points each month get to have a free lunch, which saw us dining at nearby A25 Pizzeria on Chapel Street. It’s not a joint I would normally visit, […]
We are neighbours with Neighbours Cafe here in St Kilda East. My time on Inkerman Street is now coming to a close and it’s lovely to have finally managed to give Neighbours cafe a visit and a review. I thought the food was great. It’s a curious menu that delivered some punchy flavours overall. The only shame was my experience was marred by unfortunate service.
