Grill’d, St Kilda, Melbourne
The black schnitzel option on the Grill’d menu is interesting at face value, but ends up being a little bit bland in the end. On this Grill’d adventure I headed off to the St Kilda store for my carb and meat based treat. I went for the smoky blackbird with jalapenos, slaw and smoky chipotle mayo.
The black crumb comes from something described as “activated charcoal” which sounds and looks like absolute bullshit. Tastes like any normal schnitzel. And that makes for a very basic burger in the end with not much happening in the components. Also, extremely thin. Unlike me.
