Little Ramen Bar, Melbourne
Never one to shy away from a ramen-based opportunity, I slid into Little Ramen before my scheduled Laneway Learning class over at the Little Mule cafe. Little Ramen Bar, like Shanghai Street next door, generally has a bit of a queue due to the cosy size of the place but being a solo diner was a literal wait off my shoulders as I could head straight in.
I went with the classic ramen which is a base of tonkotsu soup topped with seaweed, bamboo shoots, spring onions and a slice of the BBQ pork. At Little Ramen you get a choice of soup bases and you can go for the shoyu (special soy), miso, or shio (light salt). I went for the miso, as I was in a mi-so hungry kind of mood. I rather enjoyed the ramen in here and deem it worthy if there was a wait. Broth was excellent, could have done with a bit more on the topping front.
